4 Tips on how to quit your job and travel the world!

We all have that alter-ego which keeps pushing us to take the extreme step of giving up our jobs, homes and heading out to explore the world! But not many of us end up realizing those dreams. Giving up a job may be a big decision for many, but traveling is an experience which will stay with you for a lifetime.

Here are a few handy tips to help you realize your dream of quitting your job and traveling the world –

1. Save your vacation days

If you are in a job which allows you to en-cash all your paid leaves, then save these up before you decide to quit. Stick around long enough to accumulate paid leaves before you put in your papers and serve notice period. This can significantly add to your existing savings.

2. Save up and cut back on expenses before you go

Let’s face it – traveling is expensive, no matter what hundreds of articles on cheap travel say. Give up on all those extravagant expenses, stop living that leisurely lifestyle and save up as much as you can so that while traveling, you don’t need to cut corners to the extend of being in discomfort.

3. Stay with locals

Staying with locals offers one of the best experiences of a place, along with being way cheaper than established hotels and resorts. Staying with locals not only helps you delve into their lives and culture, but also helps you learn a thing a two, enriching your entire journey.

4. Take your home on the road

This one is a bit extreme. But if that is how strong your determination and will to travel is, then living on the go is completely worth it. Modern couples all around the world have opted to take their homes on the road with motorhomes, offering their children the unique opportunity to learn from the world, rather than just books and television. After all, what could provide a better life lesson than being to different places and interacting with people from different walks of life?
