Teesta River
Blending two different rivers in itself, the Teesta river flows through both West Bengal and Sikkim and outlines the border between the two states. Several rivulets join the river which is further joined by the Rangpo river flowing up to the Teesta Bridge. At this bridge, the roads to Kalimpong and Darjeeling get connected and the river meets its tributary, Rangeet river and finally merges with the Brahmaputra river. It is frozen in winters while flowers bloom here in the shimmering sunlight during summers and spring. The river offers a stunning view and the opportunity for river rafting, kayaking, seeing interesting flora, fauna and birds. The part where Teesta meets the Rangeet River is another breathtaking view where two different colors of rivers meet at a point.
