Thailand to take its own time to resume for tourists

This is the fifth month since the coronavirus knocked the doors of China and since then the world has been affected and the travel has been affected very severely. After struggling for a couple of months, a number of nations are also slowly getting back on track. There have been reports that many countries are now reopening to tourism as it is summer time. Asia is one of the favourite spots of holidayers and people are waiting anxiously for the continent to open for tourism. But for now Thailand is in no mood to open for tourism.

People who have been looking forward to travel to Thailand will have to wait for a few more months before they pack their bags. Yuthasak Supasorn, the governor of Tourism Authority in Thailand has said that the outbreak situation continues to exist and they can expect the return of the tourists during the fourth quarter of 2020. Supasorn has also warned that when it opens for tourism, there will be restrictions on who can visit and where they will be allowed to go. The governor further informed that they are not going to open it all at once as they are still on high alert.

Yuthasak also expressed concern that they need to observe from which country the tourists are coming and if their situation has actually improved. At the end they will have to also see if they are prepared to receive tourists at their end. This means that the country will be opening its borders for the people from the countries where the coronavirus situation is under control.

At present the country has sealed all of its borders and is not allowing any of the international flights. The Civil Aviation Authority of Thailand has put a temporary ban on all the international commercial flights to Thailand and will remain in place till at least June 30, 2020. However, rescue flights are on and the people who are arriving from other countries are sent to quarantine facilities for 14 days.
