What is travel going to look like this Thanksgiving

The year 2020 has been very challenging majorly for the travel sector. When a number of nations shut their borders and went in to a complete lockdown, the travel sector was severely affected as the travel demand slumped severely. But now a number of countries are opening up in an attempt to revive the economy that went down due to the pandemic. Despite that, the year 2020 is surely going to look different for the holidayers. People in the US are all set to celebrate Thanksgiving by the end of November.

But now that the cases of COVID-19 are surging again, people might think twice in terms of travelling. Indeed there are much safer ways to celebrate the festival with the loved ones and that is by remaining at homes with your beloved family members. The US Centres for Disease Control and Prevention have laid down guidance on travelling and eating together for the times and for people who cannot imaging Thanksgiving to celebrate with their far away family members. People who can follow the instructions closely can decide if the risk is worth or not.

One cannot even forget that there are also many people who cannot even have the luxury of having a holiday. There are many Americans who have low income and are currently facing a lot of economic problems. The best way to avoid COVID-19 is by strict isolation. Experts have recommended that if people have to travel then they can consider to isolate themselves for 14 days before they leave or they can also quarantine themselves for two weeks after they arrive at the destination.

But this cannot be done by everyone as this can be done only by those who have the flexibility to work from home. People who cannot work remotely, will not be able to travel during the holidays. People who cannot be strictly quarantined for 14 days, can undergo a molecular diagnostic test before they travel.
