Theme parks in California to reopen in full capacity in June

Due to the coronavirus pandemic, a number of business were affected. As the disease is air-borne, governments imposed strict lockdowns so that crowds could be avoided. Even the theme parks had to be shut down as a measure to contain the virus. But as the vaccination campaigns across the globe have been encouraged, people would soon be able to enjoy the places like theme parts and concerts. In some good news for the citizens of the United States, the theme parks in California including Universal Studio Hollywood and Disneyland will be able to reopen with full capacity from June 15, 2021.

The state is now planning to reopen its economy in the safest way possible. The Department of Health has released a new guidelines which has mentioned that the concerns, music/food festivals, theme parks, marathons, cars shows and parades would be considered as mega events as they will have more than 10,000 people. This category also includes some of the indoor events including expos, conferences, conventions, concerts and sporting events.

The agency has also put in a few conditions that include that the organizers of these mega events have to make sure that the attendees of the event are fully vaccinated or need to have a negative COVID-19 test result. But the attendees who are not vaccinated would still be allowed to the event but would have to wear a face covering. The venues will be responsible to provide masks for the attendees. The information about being fully vaccinated or a negative test result would be entered in to the ticketing and reservation systems. The guests will be informed about the testing and the vaccination programs.

PCR as well as antigen tests will be acceptable. The guests can present a printed document, an email, or a text message that will confirm about their tests or inoculations. People who have been vaccinated will have to bring their vaccination cards along or a picture of the vaccine card.
