Colombo, Sri Lanka

This cosmopolitan, multi-faith city is a good holiday spot for great cuisine and a buzzing night-life all at ridiculously low prices.The daring fusion-food restaurants and cocktail tea lounges come alive at night where a good stretch of such eatery is along the pathway of the Old Dutch Hospital which was built in the 17th century colonial times, the thick-walled, red-roof structure was re-purposed in 2011 and has since then become one of Colombo’s trendiest spots. Hop on a train and take a romantic travel south to Mount Lavinia to get into the typically relaxed, island feeling and enjoy the sun setting on the Indian ocean.
