It has been conquered over the centuries by various rulers and based on their culture, the rooms were re-designed and till today you can effects from different occupants – from Gothic to Arabic and everything in between. It boasts of sprawling gardens and a bomb shelter from World War II. A definite place to visit if you’re headed north of England.
