To the southeast of Hanoi lies a secret that dates back 20,000 B.C.! The Red River flows fluently through a valley with statuesque cliffs of white rock. Though the waters flow fast and wide, beneath the surface lie hidden caves that once housed primitive man. Not only do these caves store treasure troves of a history long gone, the surrounding area is packed with ancient temples, pagodas, as well as the famous Vu Lam Palace that was built to defend the people from China’s invasion.
