Lake Palace
As far as the history goes, Maharana Jagat Singh built the Lake Palace as a mark of royalty, although it now enjoys the status of a heritage hotel standing tall and grand especially during sunset. The entire palace is made of white marble that is beautifully set on the blue hues of the Lake Pichola. From vast lush green gardens to sprawling fountains, mirrors, domes and arches set along its aesthetically crafted construction, the palace consists of several mahals or apartments and is home to modern amenities like café, bar, swimming pool, business halls, restaurants and banquet halls to cater to all the comforts and needs of today’s tourists. Even the majestic City Palace falls along the side of the lake. Lake Pichola is also connected to the Fateh Sagar Lake, another man-made enchanting beauty.
Attractions: Spend a romantic evening or take a heritage walk if not live in the Lake Palace hotel. One of the most romantic destinations of the world.
