Sajjangarh Fort
Also known as the Monsoon palace, this is located at a mountain peak at more than 900 metres above sea level and overlooks Lake Pichola. This palace is believed to have used by the Mewar kings to have an inkling of when the rains will follow by closely monitoring the monsoon clouds. Built by Maharana Sajjan Singh, this pearl white beauty has the aesthetics of a romantic secluded getaway with stunning views during sunset as the entire fort is illuminated with golden lights and since it is perched atop a hill, the light of the sun during dusk falls right on the top of the fort.
Attractions: Sajjangarh Wildlife Sanctuary and a 360 degree view of the city’s palaces, mountains and landscapes especially during the rainy season.
