Jag Mandir

As old as the 17th century, this popular palace where magnificent marble elephant structures shown to be trumpeting stand impressively outside a three story building with its own set of mahals, gardens, large expanse of courtyards, fountains and arches, thi sis one of the islands on Lake Pichola. Once a popular summer resort for the Mewar rulers, now this is a place used for parties, weddings and houses reception halls and residential suites. Both Mughal and Rajput style of architectures can be seen here.

Attractions: Gul Mahal, Garden Courtyard, Bara Patharon Ka Mahal (Palace of 12 stones) are some structures inside Jag Mandir that are reflective of the aesthetic craftsmanship of the then rulers.
