Zuluk, Ravangla, Gurudongmar Lake and more such attractions
These are some top attractions in the often-underrated state of Sikkim but there are many other enchanting views that the state boasts of, yet only few are aware of them. The beautiful tea gardens and mountain valleys with colorful flora in Namchi, the mountain peaks and forests in Ravangla, West Sikkim, the Yumthang valley surrounded by snow-capped ranges and high altitude villages of Lachung and Lachen and the historic town of Yuksom with an old royal palace, a historic park, trek opportunities and spending some time in the quiet are some other natural beauties worth exploring.
Zuluk’s small town, the stupa of Do-Drul Chorten, a visit to Botanical gardens, monasteries and Gurudongmar Lake that is one of the top-most fresh water lakes are all a must visit. Despite the whole lake being frozen in winters, a part of Gurudongmar Lake never freezes and is considered to be pious by Buddhists.
