Around 4 centuries B.C., there was a civilisation that created structures that would out-rival many modern architectural structures today. Tucked away in Turkey, a land known for its imbibed cultures through various conquering armies are the remains of the city of Pergamon. Though parts of the excavations are in museums around the world, one can still observe the Library of Pergamon that is said to have housed over 200,000 books. Other great structures here include temples, gyms, temples and parts of stone buildings.
