Peloponnese
The modern civilization of Greece originated in Peloponnese where the climate is beautifully set for a stroll on the incredible beaches, making a visit to the vineyards and olive groves, while gleaming through the mountain peaks and gorging on the mouth-watering dishes. A peninsula in the shape of a mulberry leaf, Peloponnese also boasts of some beautiful Greek temples, churches with exquisite architectural magnificence, Mycenaean palaces and fortresses as well. Olympia is a place here known for its ancient archaelogical ruins where Olympic Games were hosted for the first time. Here, you will find the remnannts of the stadium that it once was and was home to the ancient world with gold and ivory statues of Zeus, the Greek King of Gods.
