Home to King Henry VIII’s most infamous wife, Anne Boleyn, it has stayed erect now since the 1400s. The young Anne was brought up here and after she was unfortunately beheaded, it was passed on to dear old Henry’s other wife, Anne of Cleves. The castle boasts of statues, a lake and fountains with floors containing antique furniture, Anne’s books, torture instruments and many artifacts from a bygone era and is open for public viewing.
