While your skincare routine might go for a toss when you are travelling, but it is equally important to take care of the skin as much as you take care of your overall health. Post COVID, many people are venturing out and planning the much needed vacation which means that it is also time to pack a few things that are skin-friendly. There are also certain things that you need to keep in mind. Here we will be discussing about a few tips shared by experts that would support your skin throughout.
1. Do not avoid cleansing – Cleansing is something which is basic for the skin. You might go through different terrains and climate that could take a toll on your skin. Make sure that you carry a good cleanser and cleanse your skin to get rid of all the dirt dead cells, so your skin could breathe.
2. Be particular for a pH balancing toner – A pH balancing toner is important when you are traveling in different climates. Experts say that the skin is naturally acidic and has a pH of between five and six. When the skin pH raises to the alkaline levels, then it leads to a chain reaction and could also cause dehydration, water loss and eventually inflammation. A pH tonner gives the proper balance.
3. Carry a good lip-balm – While travelling in a cabin with low-humidity it could dry out the skin and the first to be affected are the lips. For a flight that is longer than four hours, make sure that you carry a good lip balm to keep your lips hydrated.
4. Remain hydrated – One of the most common mistakes, travellers make is they avoid drinking water so they avoid the restrooms. But that is not just bad for the body but also for the skin. Staying hydrated prevents your skin to dry out. Make sure that you at least drip a few sips of water at regular intervals.
